Leadership and Company (Part I)



Son muchas las definiciones y planteamientos que se hacen con respecto al tema de liderazgo cuando se habla de describir las caracterĂ­sticas del concepto. Hablamos de las variedades de liderazgo y las mĂșltiples conceptualizaciones y aplicaciones.

Al tratar el tema Business must talk about two areas: Personal Leadership (business owner) and Corporate Leadership (the company). Both, in a proper balance must be present, always, if we want to be competitive.

In general, being a leader means to be a model, guide and example for others in each of the areas in which we impact our environment or society. Not only be the first or the one who is "everywhere" ... leaders can be "silent" that make a difference without being present!.

personal leadership applied to our business, is to be consistent with our approach to customers, have values, engage and satisfy. Being a leader means to defend and support the just causes, to seek and fight for the good of others. The leader does not create and define initiatives where the individual is being or to himself.

leader is one who works to create shifts in thinking among the masses through public outreach (political leaders) or silent (community leaders and social groups). A good leader puts aside the theoretical and demonstrated his convictions by example.

Support MSMEs in Puerto Rico

organizations, movements and government agencies promoting aid every day and offers support for the development of micro, small and medium companies, new and existing, creating expectations of those who seek to create a business.

What is the real extent of this aid? Is there a discount available to provide these entrepreneurs? Is it tangible to the proposal made to them? Our experience is far from reality.

There are three realities that are taking place:

1st. A tender offer is not real.
advertising offers help in most cases is not available, either because they lack the resources offered or, because (given the requirements) are not accessible to the interested.

2nd. The proposals are designed with the same parameters of 10 years ago.
requirements, conditions, parameters of qualification and the issue of permits, are some of the things that have not been tempered with the times and, moreover, the economic reality of Puerto Rico today.

3rd. There is a public policy aimed at development of MSMEs.
programs to support MSMEs in Puerto Rico there are just a bad improvisation and adaptation to support programs for manufacturing industries established corporate, functional parameters of which are completely different to those of a micro-enterprise.

We have to create a philosophy work and a public policy and designed by (and for) the MSMEs. We must create new strategies and especially for the micro-enterprise. Working
