Currently 60% of the jobs it generates MSMEs, which means 48% of GDP. Still, with these figures as representative, our country does not recognize the potential of micro, small and medium enterprises as a possible catalyst to move the country's economy.
And it means the word Microenterprise as "something" ... simple and easy it does not move and remains unmoved where it is. Not viewed as an "entity" in growth and development, eager to be an adult!
In the process of developing companies there are two alternatives:
a) The "micro" (baby) that you slowly developing (young), until it grows and becomes an adult (Corporation) . This dynamic usually occurs when we have limited resources, which is usual in a "small businessman."

b) acquires (or create) a company in all its magnitude (take a couple), they have the resources to do so. The company develops according to a Work Plan which is not necessarily phases or stages small leading to the final growth of the company.
In our country government agencies, private organizations and companies place their bets to established companies (more than 1 year of operation), but do not risk creating a formal support program for microentrepreneurs (baby) .
not conceive or make viewing the thousands of micro enterprises (babies), provide support (guidelines), teaching them to walk (training), transformed into young (med.) and go see them as adults (export)
Micro (fewer than 5 employees) represent in Puerto Rico for 85% of established companies and generate 60% of jobs. Only 5% of these are over 50 employees!
With a sector worth about 156 billion annual and generates about 837.000 jobs (direct and indirect) corporate self-management should be a priority in our country because this is the real and immediate solution our families.
Spread the word entrepreneurship, development and support to micro, but more importantly, take the initiative in our hands to change our country! It is the duty and responsibility of each one of us ... no continue to expect help from others!
